                                                                              Who We Are
Troop 2273 is a family-friendly troop that invites scouts from all nationalities and religions to join us. We are a proud troop that is registered with the Golden Gate Area Council. We allow girls of our generation to experience high-adventure activities and learn strong skills, while along with that building stronger
friendships with other scouts. Whether you are new to the scouting world or an experienced Cub Scout– we invite you to our troop with open arms!

                                                                           What we do

Troop 2273 allows young women to earn Scouting’s highest rank, Eagle Scout. We are an active troop with at least one outdoor/adventure activity and a troop meeting per month. Our troop meets at Delaine Eastin Elementary School in Union City on the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month. We accommodated our troop meetings accordingly so that scouting did not interfere with academics so it's more convenient for scouts to attend, now that the following weekend is starting.

We also allow scouts to develop leadership skills by leading activities with a partner, making us a “girl-run” troop. With Troop 2273 you will enjoy a variety of activities each month. Our activities include day hikes, overnight campouts, indoor rallies, family camping trips, backpacking, camporees, community events, service projects, summer camps– and much more! You can also earn many fun merit badges of your choice that teach you multiple skills such as First-aid, archery, cooking, geocaching, etc.

                                                              Achievements
                                                                    |2024|
A new year, a new start of a future. Our troop once again competed in Mission Peaks Yearly Indoor Rally and proudly won 1st place. That evening we were announced as the first girl troop to win on the podium for over 60 years. We won first place in the First Aid and Knots rally and earned second place in the Fireman Drag, Compass, and Rope Rally. 20 scouts proudly went through the rallies and showed off their skills that day, and thanks to everyone we made it to such a high achievement. Of course, we thank our SPL, scoutmaster, and many other parent volunteers who made this possible. Without their support and cheering from the crowd, our troop wouldn't be where we are today.

Recently our troop competed in Mission Peaks Spring Camporee at Ranch Lochos Muchos. Although things didn't start out the brightest, our scouts ended up having a lot of fun and even won a few awards. This includes placing first in Axe and Saw Jeopardy, second in Axe Yard, and third in the spider web competition and Dutch oven cooking contest, with our gluten-free brownies topped with strawberries.

This year, our troop went to Camp Chawanakee during the summer and attended a week-long camp at Shaver Lake and had a blast. As a troop, we were awarded the Tumb Board, which is awarded to the troops who had the greatest improvement from their previous scores during the campsite inspection, and we got awarded 2nd place in the camp scavenger hunt. Scouts also got a chance to complete up to 11 different merit badges and took part in many activities such as the canoe palooza, the polar bear plunge, and much more.
                                                                    | 2023|
Troop 2273 Girls has achieved the podium position of 3rd place in the Mission Peak Indoor Rally– we were the first girl troop to accomplish this on our first try. This tested our many scouting skills and in many, we achieved awards such as 1st place in Knot Rally Race, 1st place in First Aid, and 3rd place in the Compass Rally. It took us many days to train for this event but it showed and paid off the day of the competition.
Our troop over the years has attended two summer camps and earned multiple merit badges such as First-aid, archery, leatherwork– and much more! We have attended a week-long summer camp and won the Spirit Troop award at Camp Royaneh. This award is only awarded to troops with the highest spirit and friendships, shown by doing traditional custom yells and much more.
But as time passes, we achieve many more skills and learn from our mistakes. We are proud of all our scouts for their commitment and hard work for every campout and competition.
